We’re dedicated to delivering honest, thorough reviews, and our Elementor review is no exception. We’ll go over the pros and cons of this popular WordPress plugin so that you can decide if it’s right for your site.
Unique to Elementor is the visual drag-and-drop interface, which allows you to design your WordPress site without touching any code or technical knowledge.
Elementor isn’t just a typical page builder plugin. That’s why it has become the most popular WordPress builder plugin.
With The All In One WordPress Solution, you can create advanced sites with features like a theme builder, popup builder, WooCommerce builder, and more, But what’s even better is that it now offers its cloud-hosted website solution that does the hosting for you. That way, your focus will be on what matters most: making your website the best it can be.
Here’s everything you should be aware of about this plugin. First, elementor is a page-building plugin that works with WordPress.
What is Elementor?
Elementor is a drag-and-drop website builder for your WordPress site. It makes your workflow more efficient because it functions like other popular builders, such as Wix and Squarespace.
With our WordPress sites, you can choose from various beautiful, feature-rich templates or create your own. Our templates are easy to customize with features that can be placed anywhere – no coding required.
If you’re using Elementor:
One of the best things about Divi Builder is that you’re not limited to any set design. Instead, you can create a look and feel with your style and layout, as well as more than what your current WordPress theme has to offer.
You can work with any WordPress theme as long as you’re using Elementor version 5.0 or newer.
You don’t need to use WordPress’ native editing interface. You’ll get a distinct (and much better-designed) editor instead.
No need to save drafts and previews – you can modify your site from the front end so that you see your visitors’ view in their browsers.
Other builders might offer similar features, but they typically have a significant disadvantage: either the free plan with limited templates isn’t as lovely as other platforms, or you have to pay for the fantastic editing features. So, all in all, there is no free plan from this builder.
You can build responsive WordPress websites in minutes with Elementor. Before you start, it’ll feel like you are just playing with your favorite new toy.
Elementor Features and Benefits
Page Builder
When building your site, Elementor allows you to view everything happening during the process. Instead of creating your website and imagining the final product, you can add features and view the changes live. Each shift is precisely the way it appears. This is an enormous advantage over the standard WordPress editor that almost always requires you to preview your website to check the result.
Navigator
The sidebar can be customized to show the tools available for any item on the page. If you click on a button, for example, it will change to show customization options specific to that button.
There are a lot of free tools for designers out there, but we’ve gone above and beyond by including alignment, customization, responsiveness, and motion effects. These features allow you to create one-of-a-kind layouts that bring your site to life.
Ready-made Page Templates
Elementor has over 150 pre-designed, SEO-friendly pages from which you can choose. Unfortunately, the free version comes with 40 demo pages interspersed throughout the list, so it’s easy to miss them. They’re labeled Pro in the top right corner of the thumbnail, but you must scroll through the list to find them.
In addition to the pre-built templates, you can also upload some from other providers where you work with Elementor. With these templates, you’ll have even more variety in your designs without sacrificing the functionality that Elementor has to offer.
Widgets/Modules
There are only ten widgets available for free. Pro features, such as Accordion and Menu Anchor, can be purchased with a yearly-based plan.
When you create your page, you’ll see how useful these features are: to move a section, column, or widget, drag it to its new location. It’s that easy. Column widths can also be changed by dragging them. It all seems intuitive, and it’s not hard to achieve pixel-level precision.

Form Builder
The Form Builder offers endless possibilities to customize all your data forms. With just a few mouse clicks, you can make the perfect website with a customized contact form.
WooCommerce Builder
WooCommerce is a great e-commerce platform. It’s perfect for adding an online store so your customers can see everything you have to offer. It gives you access to 15 different premium WooCommerce widgets that make it easy to customize and design your shop just the way you want.
PopUp Builder
Elementor has the best popup builder you’ll find. With its customizable options, you can create the perfect popup with different annimations that will make your website experience as memorable as possible. You can even select target audiences!
Elementor Pricing
elementor is a free plugin enabling you to create fantastic websites and pages with no code. You’ll cover all your design needs on the front end, not just in the back end, making website development seamless.
Elementor Pro has four different levels of access. You can get Essential, Expert, Studio, or Agency accounts, and pricing starts at just $49.
The Essential plan would be the best option for most users, but if you’re looking to cover more than one site, Expert is the plan. Studio or agencies are available for larger projects where developers and agencies build client sites.
Although I’m not going to directly compare Elementor to other popular page builders, I will say that it costs less than the competition and offers excellent value for money.
You can purchase a hosted package if you want to install something other than Elementor on your server. It costs $89 annually and includes everything you need to get a website up and running in no time. Things like hosting, SSL certificate, 20GB of storage, custom domain, automatic backups, and more are all included with that package.
One of the great things about this package is that everything is kept under one roof. This is convenient when you need technical support – helpful employees are located in one place.
The downside of elementor is that there are no lifetime plans, which is a shame as they tend to work best for me. I often start using an app and want to stick with it. It’s worth paying a little more upfront, so I can skip paying yearly.
Does it make sense to pay for Elementor Pro? Absolutely. For $49 per year, you are getting an incredible amount of additional functionality.
Pre-made Templates
In some cases, you might want to start only partially from scratch regarding website design. Elementor templates are handy because they allow you to easily import and edit a design as you see fit, just like regular Elementor themes.
With the accessible version of Elementor, you get access to over thirty premium templates. In addition, the Pro upgrade includes over 300 more 350-plus premium templates.
Their templates come in a variety of formats.
Blocks are individual page sections you can put together to build a page (kind of like Lego® bricks) on your website. They also come in handy for theme customization.
All your content is already compiled into one page by our team, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle of individual designs.
Elementor provides templates to help you develop your website and offers more. You can:
You can save your designs as templates for easy reuse later on.
You can import Elementor templates from third-party sources to make your WordPress website look great. Check out WPLift for more information about importing templates from a third party.
As well as pre-built templates, Elementor also includes ‘kits.’ These are websites that you can ‘bake’ in minutes. As the name suggests, these kits come with pre-filled content and customizable settings to create a unique website in a few clicks!
Who is Elementor best suited to?
As I write this Elementor review, I’ve been pleasantly impressed by their creative solutions to all the problems I can run into when building a website. I’ve used plenty of page builders in the past but have returned to Elementor as my number one choice.
The Elementor Page Builder is the most popular and easiest to use. Not only does it give you the most features for free–but it’s also design-friendly enough for anyone to use.
If you want your website to look great and have no coding or design skills, our DIY tool allows you to create bespoke designs in a few clicks.
If you feel limited by what the default editor in WordPress lets you do with its blocks, then Elementor is here to help. Need to align content, tweak column layouts, or add images just right? Elementor can help you with that and so much more.
Sometimes people need more time or resources to design their websites. But worry not. Elementor is here with great templates and a drag-and-drop interface!
Conclusion
So, is Elementor better than the competition? That would depend on how you look at it.
Among Elementor’s competitors, the most popular are still Beaver Builder and Divi Builder (here’s our review of Divi Builder). As a result, many people in the market for a page builder chiefly choose between Elementor and Beaver when faced with the decision because they’ve never heard of Divi before.
All three-page builders are top-of-the-line, but you’ll have to decide whether Elementor, Beaver, or Divi is the right choice for your project. Ultimately, it comes down to which features you want and how you want them delivered.
While the price differs from Elementor’s strong points, other things make it better than the competition. First, elementor is an all-in-one toolkit, whereas Competitor Toolkit is just a single framework.
Elementor is an excellent option for a page builder plugin since the free version includes 90% of the features you’ll find in Elementor Pro. Plus, Beaver and Divi cost $87 and $89, respectively
